MainFeatures¶
Hyperactive is a codebase we have developed in London, with help from others in the UK, a bit of Brasil, and ideas from lots of different places (including the imc-cms crew, the rest of the web, and lots of shit-talk in pubs). It was used during the G20 meeting in London this past April 2009, serving pages to about 500,000 unique visitors a day while keeping very low server load. It is under active development.
Main features include:

A more broken-up front page than most other IMC site designs

The normal newswire functionality with published, promoted, and featured stories

The site can be used to construct timelines for major actions, with the most recent stuff automatically appearing on the front page linked to the full timeline. People in London seem to really like timelines for some reason.

The site is internationalized but we need more translations. Currently we have English and Brasilian Portugese only, as well as the front page in Danish. We need more translations - please offer help in #hyperactive on irc.indymedia.org if you can help us out. Translating the site takes a couple of hours.
