Had a quick go at fixing this by using truncate_html in app/views/shared/collectives/_collective_summary.erb but I seem to get some weirdness with the opening <p> tag (in the group description) becoming a <> at the start of the truncated text. Will try and investigate some more soon.

I've now changed the version of truncate_html we use, so I think this is fixed. I've also extended this to the summaries of videos and groups.
